IP Load Balancing

This offer is no longer available since we have launched the 2011 dedicated servers.
If you have 2 servers (or more), you can create an IP Load Balancing address.
It allows you to send traffic to multiple servers in parallel and thus it can spread the load.
How do you use this feature ?
You create an infrastructure in your manager and we will assign you an Load Balancing IP, which has the ability to send traffic to multiple servers (maximum 8), through a system of redundant routing.
You can then add or remove a machine in your cluster in minutes using your manager. To add a machine to a cluster, it is necessary that it belongs to the same customer account as the others.
The OVH IP load balancing are usable with any type of OS and configuration of your OVH dedicated servers, so you can create a cluster that handles requests for web, email, DNS, SIP, etc. in parallel. There is no limit on the number of simultaneous sessions.
The operation is similar to that of the Failover IP with the difference that multiple servers receive traffic coming into your IP Load Balancing. To take advantage simply set your IP address directly in your Manager.

You can ask us to monitor your server using the protocol OCO (OvhCheckOut).
If our monitoring system is a default on your server, it automatically removes your server from the cluster and then, presents it again "OK." It is automatic and without any cost.
To install and configure the software OCO, you can follow this guide:Guide Oco
To start, visit https://www.ovh.ie/managerv3, Click your server and services, IP LoadBalancing and click Create (with 2 servers for example), a few minutes later you can begin to manage your cluster.
