Under the GNU licence, mediaWiki is a free software used to create a wiki. It was originally developed for Wikipedia and the template is used by many companies.

Media Wiki is an easy to access template which offers numerous features to manage name spaces or even for using discussion pages associated with each article.

MediaWiki however, requires the PHP 5 language and can work with the MySQL and PostgreSQL management system databases.
