Monitoring 24/7

OVH is the only host in Europe that has teams of technicians in the datacenter 24 hours a day, every day of the year. A system for monitoring servers (ICMP) monitors all servers dedicated to each client. Upon detection of a fault, a response is automatically programmed and an email or sms tracking is automatically sent to the client with all information on the progress of the ticket.

SLA

If your server becomes unavailable, Ovh guarantees intervention and repair time on levels 1 and 2, from 30 minutes to 4 hours, 24/7. The availability of the network is 99.9%, 99.95% and 99.99% monthly. In case of non-compliance with the SLA, penalties are automatically calculated.

Ecologicaly Cooled Energy Saving Datacenter

Since 2004, OVH is the only host in the world to have established an industrial liquid cooling system for all dedicated servers (40,000 in our data centers). The power needed to run air conditioners has been reduced by up to 60%. In 2008, OVH established the EcoSalles which allowed a reduction of 90% of the energy needed to power the air conditioning of the datacentre. OVH is the only host that provides global "Green Datacenter Cooling Energy Saver" technology, which devotes less than 10% of the total energy of the data center cooling. The remaining 90% energy is needed to power the servers. With 45nm the processor power consumption of servers has been further reduced by 30% while increasing the computing power of 30%. The environmental focus is a very important technological development at OVH. In 2009, OVH propsed new hosting solutions on dedicated servers that are currently being tested.

FTP Backup

Each server has an FTP backup space located on a geographically different site.

OVH's guarantee of components

Each dedicated servers component is guaranteed for life. In case of defective parts, they are replaced free for life.
