The domain name must respect the following rules:
- The domain name must not match a name or trademark filed by a third party;
- The owner must be a Finnish corporation, foundation, association or institution or particularly Finnish over 15 years residing in Finland;
- The domain name must not contain offensive words or incite offense;
- The domain name may not be registered for resale.

Why have a domain name?
A domain name enables you to name a website hosted on a server instead of using a number. Without this domain name, you would have to name a website by its IP address (for OVH: 213.186.33.5)
